Shellie has been expressing herself through her art for most of her life. She has painted with acrylics and oils for many years. She began needle felting in 2016 and is a self- taught artist.
Having received a BA in Environmental Studies from Carleton University in Ottawa, she continues to be influenced by her love of nature. The strength and beauty found in our natural surroundings are of great inspiration to Shellie’s art. Having lived in western Canada since 2000, she is drawn to creating portraits and sculptures of the wildlife that also calls Alberta home.
Shellie currently shows her pieces in galleries, online and often creates custom pieces for clients. Shellie lives in Calgary, AB with her husband, young children, dog and cat.
